Midtown Music Showcase seeking bands to play August festival

The businesses in Evelyn Hills Shopping Center are planning a party this August, and they’re looking for a few good bands to perform.

The event, formerly known as Evelyn cHills Fest, has been renamed the Midtown Music Showcase and will take place on August 17th in the parking lot at the shopping center.

Organizers are currently seeking five local bands to perform at this year’s festival. The bands selected to perform will be able to compete for prizes at the event, including recording time, a feature on a local radio show, and more.

“The event is going will be similar to last year’s festival, but there will be more of a focus on the music aspect this year,” said Alexa McGriff, one of the organizers of the event.

Proceeds from the Midtown Music Showcase will benefit the Fayetteville Public Schools Outback, a local food pantry and clothing closet for students enrolled at Fayetteville Public Schools.

Bands interested in performing at the festival should email a sample of their music to [email protected], drop off a demo at Ozark Natural Foods, or mail a demo to ONF before July 1.
