Authorities today announced the arrest of a Rogers man in connection with several recent burglaries.

Police said the arrest was prompted after officers responded to reports of a reckless driver near the Northwest Arkansas Mall on Wednesday (June 25). Upon arrival, officers found Trevor Daniel Larochelle, 26, inside a “suspicious vehicle” parked behind McDonald’s at 578 E. Joyce Boulevard.

Police said Larochelle acted “erratic and excited” which led to a search of his vehicle. Officers found several items inside the car that had been reported as stolen from a local car dealership earlier that day. Police later learned that Larochelle had burglarized a Fayetteville residence on June 5 and that he’d broken into a motel in Rogers.

Larochelle was charged with Commercial burglary, Theft of Property, Auto Theft, Residential Burglary, Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons and Theft by Receiving.

The investigation is ongoing.

Update: Police announced Friday that Larochelle now faces additional felony charges in connection with a theft at Feltner Brothers restaurant on College Avenue. Police said video surveillance showed Larochelle breaking into an outdoor walk-in cooler and taking a large amount of food on June 26.
