Legendary Southern rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd are coming to Fayetteville for a show at the Arkansas Music Pavilion on Thursday, Sept. 12.

The band is currently touring in support of their 12th studio album Last of a Dyin’ Breed, which was released in 2012 and peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard 200. It’s the highest charting album since 1977’s Street Survivors peaked at No. 5.

Skynyrd was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006 after over 30 years of performances and more than 30 million albums sold, including 25 hit singles like “Free Bird,” “Sweet Home Alabama,” “Gimme Three Steps,” and “What’s Your Name?”

Gates for the Sept. 12 show open at 6 p.m. and music starts at around 7:30 p.m.

Announcements for the 2013 Arkansas Music Pavilion season have been flowing in lately. Lynyrd Skynyrd marks the sixth announcement in the last 30 days. Vampire Weekend, Alabama Shakes, Queens of the Stone Age, Three Days Grace and Gary Allan were all announced since early June.

This season will be the venue’s final set of concerts in Fayetteville. The AMP is set to move to Rogers in 2014.
