West Fayetteville residents will soon have a new place to buy drugs.
Signs advertising a new Walgreens store were recently placed at the corner of Rupple Road and Wedington Drive, and dirt work has already begun on the project.
No information on the specific construction project is available at this time, but typical Walgreen stores are about 14,500 square feet, with a single-lane drive-through pharmacy window. A call to the media relations director for Walgreens was not immediately returned Wednesday.
According to the company’s website, the pharmacy and retail chain currently operates 79 stores across Arkansas, including five locations in Fayetteville.
