If mini-golf, wing-eating, and helping to raise money for a good cause sounds like a fun way to spend a Saturday, this news is for you.

The 5th annual Put for Paws mini-golf tournament, benefiting the Humane Society of the Ozarks, is set for 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17 at Gator Golf.

The entry fee is $25, and includes a round of mini-golf, a t-shirt, and a buffet-style lunch at Foghorn’s. Several adoptable animals will also be on hand for folks to meet.

According to organizer Jeff Hodges, the event has grown exponentially over the years. “We started this five years ago, and we raised $1,500,” he said. “This year, we’re looking at raising $12,000.”

A free shuttle service from the new Foghorn’s Green Acres Road location will be provided to and from the mini-golf course. During lunch at the restaurant, live music will be provided by Mrs. Roper’s Pool Boys.
