One of the region’s most spectacular annual traditions is about to get even bigger. City Council members voted Tuesday to expand the popular Lights of the Ozarks holiday lighting display from the Fayetteville square all the way down Block Avenue and along Dickson Street.

Where’s Waldo? He’s in downtown Fayetteville. Much the same way a giant Razorback appeared on the side of Hog Haus last year, another curious case of street art has surfaced in town.

Musicians aren’t the only ones who’ll be treated like rockstars during this weekend’s Fayetteville Roots Festival. The annual event also highlights local farmers and chefs.

The 2014 Arkansas football schedule is out and while it’s not a big surprise, it will certainly sting some folks to learn that the Razorbacks have officially lost the LSU game on Thanksgiving weekend, a tradition that has for 17 years put the Hogs in front of a prime national TV audience on CBS.
