Friday Events, Sept. 6

Alabama Shakes

One of the most highly anticipated shows of the year is happening Friday night. Soulful southern rock band Alabama Shakes are coming to the Arkansas Music Pavilion for a show with special guests Fly Golden Eagle. Last we heard, there were still tickets available for the show.

There’s a really good folk-Americana band at George’s Friday night from Mountain Home called Coyote Union. Listen to a song or two here.

The Seedling Film Association will announce the films for this year’s Offshoot Film Festival at an announcement party Friday night at Matt Miller Studio. The event will include music from Me and Owen, improv by Phunbags, cinema trivia, and more. There’s a bit more information at the Facebook event.

TheareSquared’s new show The Spiritualist is still playing at Nadine Baum Studios this weekend, and the broadway hit Jersey Boys is at Walton Arts Center.
