Crain Hyundai, one of several franchised dealerships owned by central Arkansas-based Crain Automotive Holdings, will soon relocate its Springdale car dealership to Fayetteville.
The business, currently located at 3558 S. Thompson St. at the corner of Tyson Parkway, has purchased about 12 acres west of Interstate 540 just south of the Garland Avenue exit in Fayetteville, and plans to build a 28,000-square-foot facility on 6.5 of those acres, according to the NWA Business Journal.
Chris Byrd, chief financial officer of Crain, told editor Paul Gatling that the site’s high visibility, as well as its proximity to other dealerships like Fayetteville Autopark, Williams Tractor and Adventure Subaru, contributed to the decision to relocate.
Byrd said the dealership could be up and running by December 2014.
