HuHot Mongolian Grill has closed its doors after nearly three years of serving food in north Fayetteville.

The restaurant’s last day of business was Wednesday, Dec. 11.

It’s unclear what prompted the business to shut down, but a statement on the company’s website confirmed the closure.

“We regretfully announce that the Fayetteville HuHot will be closing for business,” officials stated. “If you have gift cards or loyalty rewards, you have until then to use them at the Fayetteville HuHot. After that date, they will, of course, still be valid at any other HuHot.”

HuHot Mongolian Grill first opened in January 2011 at 637 E. Joyce Blvd. in Fayetteville, and was the first franchise to open in Arkansas.

The Missoula, Montana-based company has 51 restaurants in 16 states across the country, according to its website.
