Teenagers

There’s a free show at George’s Friday night with great local bands, Family History and Teenagers. Family History is set to release their first album this spring, and Teenagers just released their (appropriately titled) FreEP, which is a free two song EP.

Little Rock’s Swampbird is in town for a show at the Lightbulb Club with locals Basement Brew, and The Plaid Jackets are back in action for a show at Smoke & Barrel with The Family Dogs.

There are a couple holiday shows in town, with TheatreSquared’s A Christmas Carol playing through the weekend at Nadine Baum Studios, and Moscow Classical Ballet’s The Nutcracker at Walton Arts Center.

Saturday events, Dec. 21

SpaceCamp

Local band SpaceCamp is throwing a free ugly sweater/food drive Party at George’s Saturday night, with DJ Matt Abb also on the bill. The band is asking folks who show up to bring one canned food item to the show (not required, but appreciated) for a local food pantry.

Arkansas Blues Hall of Fame member Gary “Alaska” Sloan and his band The Twilight Sloan will be back in town for a performance at Smoke & Barrel Saturday night. Here’s more info on Gary’s history.
