UPDATE: Worker shocked by power line at Fayetteville construction site

Update 1/9/14: According to Jerry Ennis, the spokesman for project coordinator Thompson Thrift, the worker has been listed in good condition in Springfield, and is expected to make a full recovery.


A man was shocked by an electric power line while working at an apartment construction site near the University of Arkansas on Friday, according to reports.

Mauro Campos, battalion chief for the Fayetteville Fire Department, told KNWA the man suffered cardiac arrest while doing concrete work at The Cardinal at West Center complex at Duncan Avenue and West Center Street.

The man was revived by medical crews and taken to Washington Regional Medical Center, and was later transported to a Springfield, Mo. burn center where he was listed in serious condition.
