Lucious Spiller

Brick Fields and the Chosen Ones and Lucious Spiller are headed to Memphis to compete in the International Blues Challenge, and Ozark Blues Society is hosting a fundraiser to help cover expenses for their trips at George’s Majestic Lounge Friday night. Both acts will perform beginning at around 6 p.m., and admission is just $5. More info.

Love the movie, Sound of Music? Walton Arts Center will host one of their popular sing-a-long shows featuring a screening of the classic film Friday night. If you’ve been to one of the sing-a-long shows, you know what to expect. If not, here’s more info.

Bombay Harambee

Freak out, Trekkies. William Shatner is coming to Walton Arts Center Saturday night for his one-man show, “Shatner’s World.” Last we heard, the show was nearly a sell out. It’s freaking William Shatner.

Missouri indie-dance-y band, Moon Jr. is in town for a show at Smoke & Barrel Tavern Friday night. They sound like this.

There’s also a big show at The Lightbulb Club with good Little Rock-ers Bombay Harambee and locals May the Peace of the Sea be With You and High Lonesome.

George’s has a big local show with Candy Lee & The Sweets, Randall Shreve & the Sideshow, and Air Loom.
