Let’s watch Michael Qualls’ game-winning dunk on repeat all day

Razorback fans might be a little tired today after watching an overtime game with a late start, officiated by some of the most whistle-happy refs Bud Walton Arena has ever seen.

Let us assure you, though, that after the finish they were rewarded with in the final seconds of the game against No. 13 Kentucky last night, you won’t find a single one of them complaining.

In a play that nearly everyone is talking about today, Arkansas defeated the Wildcats 87-85 in overtime in the most thrilling way possible – on a last-second, putback slam by high-flying sophomore guard Michael Qualls.

The play reached No. 1 on ESPN’s SportsCenter Top 10 last night, and set off a social media firestorm that is still raging today.

Qualls and fellow guard Rashaad Madden led the Hogs with 18 points, Alandise Harris added 12, and Bobby Portis had 11 points to help the Hogs to victory.

Oh no! Madden wasn’t even looking!

Dwight Howard calls the Hogs

Qualls’ game-winning play was so incredible last night, it even had Houston Rockets forward Dwight Howard calling the Hogs.

Fayetteville expat and former Razorback Ronnie Brewer – a teammate of Howard’s – posted an Instagram video of himself and the NBA superstar calling the Hogs late last night.

Big Rod meme

After the madness at the end of the game, Herald-Leader photographer Mark Cornelison snapped a hilarious photo of a fan that Razorback players are calling “Big Rod” taunting Kentucky player Aaron Harrison after the buzzer. That photo is now making its way around the internet.

Here’s the first of what could become a new Big Rod meme that Arkansas player Rashaad Madden posted on Instagram last night.
