There’s a gravity-defying spectacle coming to Walton Arts Center this month.
LEO, the award-winning one-man show blending physical theatre, acrobats, and mind-bending animation based on an original idea by starring actor Tobias Wegner, will come to the performing arts center for a one-night only performance on Feb. 21.
The show, which asks the question “What would happen if the laws of gravity were to suddenly change?” has been described as a funny, surreal, and surprisingly touching work that asks you to forget the rules of the universe and enter an entirely different world created through a clever interplay of live performance and video projection.
It was the winner of several awards at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, including the Carol Tambor Best of Edinburgh Award, the Three Weeks Editors Award and the Scotsman Fringe First Award.
We happen to have a pair of tickets to give away to the show. Try to win them.
How to enter
LEO is one of those shows with the ability to transport audiences from their current reality into an entirely different world. With the cold weather we’ve been experiencing here in Fayetteville, some of us wouldn’t mind getting away from it all for a little while.
How do you pass the time and escape from the winter blues? Do you head out of town to someplace warm this time of year? Do you go to the movies, check out a great book, or head to the theatre? Leave a comment and tell us how you get away from it all this time of year, and you’re entered.
What you’ll win
One winner will receive two (2) tickets to see LEO on Friday, Feb. 21 at Walton Arts Center.
A few rules (read ‘em carefully):
- You may only enter this specific contest once.
- This contest is open to anyone anywhere except Fayetteville Flyer writers, Walton Arts Center employees, and their immediate family members.
- Contest is open until 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 10.
Make sure you leave a valid e-mail address when filling out the comment form since that’s how we’ll contact you if you’ve won. Once we notify the winners, you’ll have 24 hours to respond via email to claim your prize.
- You’ll have to provide us with your first and last name (if you win) and then be prepared to show a valid photo ID when picking up your tickets.
