Looks like Fayetteville’s going to get itself a Gift of Gab show after all.

Mr. Gab, aka Timothy Parker, aka half of the hip-hop duo Blackalicious, was scheduled to perform in town back in October, but had to cancel the show at the last minute due to travel problems.

Parker will make good on his promise to reschedule this weekend, however, with a show set for Saturday, Feb. 22 at Smoke & Barrel Tavern with Little Rock rapper Epiphany, Oregon-based emcee, Landon Wordswell, and Fayetteville’s own, Lucio.

Gift of Gab has been called “one of the top MCs in the game” by Stylus magazine, known for his innovative rhyme schemes unique metaphors, and spot-on delivery.

Epiphany, aka Big Piph, is no slouch either. The Little Rock-based rapper is one of the best in the state, and while he’s been a regular in Fayetteville over the years. He’ll also be backed by his new(ish) band Tomorrow Maybe, which we’ve heard is awesome.

I guess what we’re saying is, Smoke & Barrel is going to be a madhouse on Saturday. Best get there early.

Tickets are $10 at the door, and the show will start around 9 p.m. For a bit more information, check out the Facebook event.
