What if we told you that one of the co-stars of Jingle All the Way was coming to Fayetteville this spring?

Believe it, buddy. It’s happening.

Comedian, actor, and 1990s icon Sinbad will perform his one-man comedy show at the Walton Arts Center on Saturday, April 12.

Anyone alive in the late 1980s and 1990s has heard of Sinbad. He was on The Cosby Show a couple of times. He was the star of The Sinbad Show. He was also a regular on The Cosby Show spinoff, A Different World.

He’s been in some movies (including the aforementioned Arnold Schwarzenegger vehicle, Jingle All the Way), starred in several comedy specials on HBO and Comedy Central, and is one of just a handful of people in the world (Prince, Madonna, Shaq) that are famous enough to get away with going by only one name.

He was ranked as one of the top 100 stand-up comedians of all time by Comedy Central, and he’s well known for his “profound, but not profane” clean style of comedy.

He was on Star Search. He’s Sinbad, y’all. You’ve heard of him.

Tickets to the show are $25-55, and go on sale at 9 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 21 at waltonartscenter.org.
