Local students can add yet another day of missed classes to the 2013-14 school year.

Fayetteville Public Schools officials announced that classes would be canceled on Tuesday, March 4 due to hazardous road conditions left by the most recent round of winter weather that hit the area on Sunday.

Fayetteville transportation crews cleared several of the major roads on Monday, but with many side streets still covered in snow and ice, district officials likely had an easy decision to make.

Tuesday’s closure is the second day of missed classes this week, and marks the thirteenth snow day of the school year in Fayetteville.
