Whataburger moving forward with Fayetteville location

Whataburger is one step closer to opening their first Fayetteville location.

The Texas-based restaurant chain recently submitted preliminary designs for a large-scale development planned at 1920 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

According to the city’s March 19 Technical Plat Review meeting agenda, the new 3,100-square-foot restaurant would be built on a 1.31-acre site formerly home to an E-Z Mart gas station and convenience store.

We first wrote about Whataburger in our December restaurant news post. At the time, Whataburger officials would not confirm any plans for a Fayetteville location.

Whataburger currently operates one other Arkansas restaurant on Stateline Avenue in Texarkana.
