A portion of Sang Avenue and Halsell Road will be closed to traffic through the summer while city crews work to build new sidewalks.

Other improvements are also planned, including the installation of storm drain pipe, inlet boxes, curb and gutter.

Construction will require closing Halsell Road from Sang Avenue to Cross Avenue from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Sang Avenue will also be closed from Cleveland Street to Halsell Road during the same work hours. Detour routes will be marked, and local traffic will be allowed for residents during work hours.

The streets will reopen after 4 p.m. and on weekends.
