New Flyer Sponsor: Wasabi

To the moon and back. To Pluto (planet or not), and three times around Jupiter. To infinity, and beyond. Twice. That’s how much we love the local businesses that sign up to become sponsors of the Fayetteville Flyer.

Without these local places, there’d be no Daily Flyer or City Council Recap. No Restaurant News, and no updates on the concerts and cultural events in and around Fayetteville.

They are the local businesses that see the value in a more informed community, and have decided that you (yes, you) are exactly the type of person they want to do business with.

They’re the types of businesses whose logos are on the bottom of the posters for just about all the cool things that happen in Fayetteville. They’re local. They’re engaged in the community. They rule the school.

That’s exactly how we feel about the newest business to join the Flyer family, the awesome Dickson Street sushi house, Wasabi.

Wasabi is located in the bakery building at 313 W. Dickson Street. In addition to serving up some of the freshest, most delicious sushi in Fayetteville, great bento boxes, fried rice dishes, noodle bowls, and more, they also happen to have one of the most robust and interesting cocktail menus in town.

They have an awesome happy hour daily from 3-6 p.m., with great specials every day including $3 wells, $1.50 off all beers, and $2 off sake. Also during happy hour, all sushi is 15% off the regular price.

The restaurant hosts live music every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday on their great patio that’s simultaneously secluded, but still somehow connected to the energy of Dickson Street. Also, Thursday nights are Martini nights, with music by the best DJ’s in the area, and the entirety of their extensive martini menu for just $5 each.

Over the next few weeks, they’ll be celebrating the World Cup by showing all the games, and offering up specials for football fans cheering on the U.S.A (or whoever you’re rooting for).

They’re an awesome local place, and we’re thrilled that we’re going to be sharing their great specials and events with you guys each week.

Please help us welcome them to the Flyer Family by stopping by, liking them on Facebook, or giving them a follow on Twitter and Instagram.
