AMP confirms Tim McGraw concert on Aug. 7

Thanks to Twitter, country music fans didn’t need to wait for the Arkansas Music Pavilion to announce its newest performance.

Country superstar Tim McGraw last week tweeted that he was booked to play at the AMP on Aug. 7.

AMP officials confirmed the news today, and included ticket prices and opening acts.

Tickets range from $44-$99.50, and go on sale at 9 a.m. Friday, June 27. Special guests Cassadee Pope and Kip Moore will open the show.

From the announcement:

McGraw brings his “characteristically high-octane” [Sundown Heaven Town 2014 Tour] to Northwest Arkansas and will entertain his fans with hits spanning his career as well as new songs from the upcoming Sundown Heaven Town album due out Sept. 16 on Big Machine Records. The new set strives to bring McGraw closer to fans than ever before with innovative production, staging and video content that’s highlighted with never-before-seen footage. Singer and songwriter Kip Moore mixes country narratives with a touch of heartland rock. Cassadee Pope, winner of the third season of NBC’s “The Voice”, is a powerful singer with a bent toward both pop and country.

Tickets can be purchased by calling the Walton Arts Center box office at 479-443-5600 or by visiting www.amptickets.com. Tickets will also be on sale for one day only starting at 9 a.m. at the AMP box office in Rogers.
