Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art this week announced the hiring of Beth Bobbitt as the museum’s new media relations manager.
Bobbitt joins Crystal Bridges after five years as public relations director for the Walton Arts Center. She will oversee media relations and social media as part of the communications division in the Museum Relations team, according to a news release.
Erin Rogers will serve as interim director of public relations for the Walton Arts Center.

As a board member for the Northwest Arkansas Tourism Association and president of the regional Public Relations Society of America chapter, Bobbitt has been a strong advocate for the region and the profession of public relations.
Bobbitt has a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Arkansas. Bobbitt also worked in corporate communications and public relations in St. Louis while earning a graduate degree in media communications before returning to Northwest Arkansas in 2009.
“We’re delighted to welcome Beth to Crystal Bridges, as she brings a breadth of experience in media relations, specifically in an arts-related setting.” said Diane Carroll, Crystal Bridges Director of Communications. “Beth has also been instrumental in expanding arts and cultural tourism in Northwest Arkansas and her expertise will make her a key addition to the Crystal Bridges communications team.”
