Get out your fairy wings, gather your glow sticks, and get ready for the kid party of the year, Fayetteville. It’s time for the Firefly Fling at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks.

The family-oriented festival is set for 6-10 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, and features a host of kid-friendly activities on the garden grounds.

This year’s event includes music by Shaky Bugs, Candy Lee & The Sweets, and Sugar on the Floor. Also planned is storytelling by Janis Duley and Donna Mulholland early in the evening, as well as fire spinning by Violetta Fireflies, glow-in-the-dark yard games, and black light performances after the sun sets.

There will be interactive stations set up all over the grounds, including a water activity created by the new Amazeum children’s museum, a sand pile, a stone stacking area, and more.

The event also (typically) features a lot of the happiest-looking kids you’ve ever seen running around with wings on their backs, dancing, and waving magic wands and glow sticks around in the warm mid-summer air.

Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for children (free for kids under 3 years old). Tickets are available online at bgozarks.com, by phone at 479-750-2620, or at the door on the day of the event.
