Actor, comedian, and banjo shredder Steve Martin is coming to town next month.
The legendary performer will be at the Arkansas Music Pavilion with The Steep Canyon Rangers and singer-songwriter Edie Brickell for a show on Sunday, Aug. 3.
Martin, who made a name for himself as a stand-up comedian and writer in the early 1970s before becoming a superstar in classic films like The Jerk and as a regular on Saturday Night Live, has turned heads in recent years for his musical ability. The multi-talented performer is a world-class banjo player, and his 2013 album Love Has Come for You resulted in a Grammy Award for Best Americana song, and a nomination for best album in its genre.
His live show with the Steep Canyon Rangers showcases Martin’s banjo-playing ability, and of course, a bit of his comedy background comes through in the performances as well.
Brickell, who collaborated with Martin on Love Has Come for You, is also set to perform.
We’ve got a pair of tickets to give away to the show. Good luck.
