Fayetteville-based clothing and outdoor apparel company Fayettechill is planning to move into a larger space in downtown Fayetteville.

The company is working to move its Basecamp store from its current 350-square-foot location at 329B N. West Ave. into the building at 205 W. Dickson St., formerly home to the Ozark Mountain Smokehouse and currently occupied by Nightbird Books.

Nightbird Books, meanwhile, will move into the breezeway space in the same building.

Fayettechill owner Mo Elliot said Tuesday that the company is finalizing designs with local architecture firm, Modus Studio, and renovations on the space could begin as early as next week.

In addition to a clothing store, Elliot said the new space will host community events, athlete workshops, and provide meeting space for the outdoor non-profits associated with Fayettechill.

The company will share the space with an upstart coffee shop/craft beer bar called Puritan Brew Co.

Elliot said he hopes to be up and running in the new space sometime in September.
