The Wood Brothers

Our advice this weekend: clone yourself. There’s too much going on, and you’ll never make it to all of it. Good luck.

There’s a comedy show at Mermaids, featuring nationally-known stand up comedian Tim Northern. It starts at 8 p.m.

TheatreSquared’s new show, One Man, Two Guvnors officially opens this weekend, and there are performances scheduled through Sunday at Nadine Baum Studios. More info.

The Fayetteville Roots Festival is in town, with a great lineup of main stage acts at the Fayetteville Town Center Friday night including The Secret Sisters, Willie Watson, Darrel Scott and Tim O’Brien, The Wood Brothers, and more. Here’s our guide.

Late-night stage headliners at George’s include Hooray for the Riff Raff and Cutty Rye. Should be an awesome time as well. There are still a few tickets left, last we heard.

Maxine’s has an un-ticketed Roots Festival show with Sad Daddy, Dana Louise, and Snake Dirty Turncoat, and Ryan Pickop is at Kingfish. There’s no cover for either of those shows. First-come, first-served.
