The Beaver Watershed Alliance is looking for volunteers to help clean areas along the Town Branch from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 6 in south Fayetteville.

The stream is a tributary of the West Fork of the White River, which flows into the upper reaches of Beaver Lake, the primary water source for more than 300,000 residents in Benton and Washington counties.

John Pennington, BWA executive director, said check-in for the event is at the Walker Park pavilion near the corner of West 15th Street and South College Avenue.

Participants are encouraged to bring gloves and wear appropriate shoes and clothes. Trash bags will be provided. Food will be served following the cleanup.

For more information, call Pennington at 479-970-3550 or email [email protected].
