It looks like Thunder on the Mountain will return in 2015.

The county music and camping festival is another event from Pipeline Productions, the group behind Wakarusa and Harvest Fest. Like its companion festivals, Thunder on the Mountain takes place atop Mulberry Mountain near Ozark, Arkansas.

The inaugural 2013 festival, which featured headlining country stars Luke Bryan and Toby Keith, did not take place in 2014.

The hiatus came as a surprise after a promising debut, which included nearly 40 other performances from names like Big & Rich, Montgomery Gentry, Justin Moore and Sturgill Simpson.

Organizers said they were “taking some time off to ensure that the next Thunder on the Mountain is even bigger and better than the first.”

No other reason was given for the break.

Regardless, the event seems poised for a recovery next summer.

Organizers said the 2015 festival will take place June 26-28, and tickets would go on sale this fall.
