Comedian, writer, and talk show host Pete Holmes is coming to the University of Arkansas campus this week.

Holmes will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21 in the Verizon Ballroom in the Arkansas Union.

Known for the TV series The Pete Holmes Show (recently cancelled after two seasons on TBS), Holmes has also starred in two hour-long stand-up specials including Nice Try, The Devil and Impregnated with Wonder. He is the host of the popular Nerdist network podcast, You Made it Weird with Pete Holmes.

He has drawn cartoons for The New Yorker. He’s also the voice of the eTrade baby. You know, from the commercials.

Los Angeles comedian Chris Thayer, who has appeared on several of Holmes’ shows, will also perform Friday night.

This event is free for University of Arkansas at Fayetteville students who paid their student activities fee. Students must show ID for entrance.

Admission for general public and non-fee-paying students is contingent upon seating availability, and will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
