A new record store created by the owners of JR’s Lightbulb Club is set to debut in Fayetteville next week.

The store, called Block Street Records, will open on Monday, Nov. 24 at 17 N. Block Avenue in the space formerly home to Sound Warehouse.

The store will carry new and used vinyl, vintage stereo gear, a few musical instruments, instrument accessories, gifts, and more. Owner Wade Ogle told us last month that they also plan to connect the record store with JR’s next door for special events, shows, and listening parties.

A grand opening celebration is planned from 10 a.m. until around 9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, featuring hourly giveaways from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., live music Dump Truck Boyz at 7 p.m., a limited edition hand-drawn CD release by the band, food, and other festivities.
