Mayor’s town hall meeting set for Monday, Dec. 15

Mayor Lioneld Jordan’s next town hall meeting is set for 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15 at the Fayetteville Boys and Girls Club, located at 560 N. Rupple Road.

As with all town hall meetings, the event is open to anyone interested in knowing more about local government issues.

Several city staff members will join Mayor Jordan to provide information and to offer an opportunity for residents to ask questions about city projects, budget information, policies, and events.

Mayor Jordan will open the meeting with information and an update on several city projects. After that, expect short presentations from the following city staff:

Paul Becker, finance director – Budget update
Chris Brown, city engineer – Transportation bonds update
Sue Butler, fire and life safety specialist – Winter/holiday fire safety presentation
Jeremy Pate, development services director – Spring Street Municipal Parking Deck update
Connie Edmonston, parks and recreation director – Regional Park update
Terry Gulley, transportation services director – Seasonal transportation information
Lindsley Smith, communications director – City website update and Fayetteville Alert System Sign-up information

An open forum for public questions will follow the presentations, according to a city news release.
