As cold as it has been in Northwest Arkansas recently, summer concerts at the Arkansas Music Pavilion seem like a lifetime away.

They’re not a lifetime away, though. Those warmer days will be here before you know it, and in fact, the first artist coming to the pavilion for the 2015 season has already surfaced this week on the world wide web.

Classic rockers Steve Miller Band, who were just scheduled to be in town for a show at the AMP back in September 2013 that was eventually cancelled, will return be at the venue for a performance on Saturday, May 16. The date was announced as part of the band’s upcoming summer tour.

Steve Miller Band formed in 1966 in San Francisco. The band rose to stardom in the 70s, with a string of hits such as “The Joker,” “Fly Like an Eagle,” “Jungle Love,” “Take the Money and Run,” and “Abracadabra.”

Ticket information for the show has not been released, but we’ll add it here once it becomes available. You can also keep an eye out for info at arkansasmusicpavilion.com.
