There are several chances to see the holiday classic, The Nutcracker, this weekend in Fayetteville, beginning with a 7 p.m. performance at Walton Arts Center Friday night. Here’s more.

It’s the last weekend to see TheatreSquared’s Around the World in 80 Days at Nadine Baum Studios. Here’s the performance schedule.

George’s has a happy hour show with local favorites, Big Uns, at 6 p.m., and Austin songwriter Ian Moore will perform after that.

There are a couple chances on Saturday to see a local production of The Nutcracker as well. The Northwest Arkansas Arts Foundation will perform their version of the holiday classic at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the new Fayetteville High School Performing Arts Center. Here’s more info on that.

The Fayetteville Jazz Collective will play a Christmas concert Saturday night at Mount Sequoyah, featuring jazz renditions of some traditional Christmas songs. Tickets are $10 at the door.

Local bluegrass band Arkansasauce will perform at George’s Saturday night, and The Lightbulb Club has a rock show with local band Ten High and Hot Springs-based Ghost Bones.
