Friday events, April 3

Want to watch a play? TheatreSquared’s new show Superior Donuts makes its debut with a handful of performances scheduled for this weekend at Nadine Baum Studios. Here’s some more info about the show.

Artist Laboratory Theatre’s reboot of their popular sheet fort series also debuts Friday night at Fayetteville Underground. The new show is called I Can Haz Sheet Fort, and focuses on memes and found items from the internet. Here’s more.

Wanna see some music for a good cause? Backspace is raising money for the NWA Rape Crisis Center with a five band bill Friday night. Dana Louise, Witchsister, RAT BRATS, C-Rex, and LLinda will perform, and clothing and monetary donations will be accepted for the center.

Also in music, local band Arkansasauce is at George’s, Brother Moses and Dividend are at The Lightbulb Club, and locals Comfortable Brother will be at Smoke & Barrel with Joplin, MO band Me Like Bees.

Guess who’s back on the Fayetteville square this weekend? That’s right. It’s the Fayetteville Farmers’ Market, featuring dozens of local farmers selling locally-grown vegetables, flowers, meats, cheeses, and more. Everyone and their dog will be down there.

Music-wise, local duo Woody & Sunshine will perform at Ryleigh’s, there’s a bluegrass show at George’s with Split Lip Rayfield and Cutty Rye, and there’s rock show at The Lightbulb Club with locals Dead Indian and new-ish band Of the Heavy Sun.

1 Oz. Jig

Maxine’s Tap Room’s Sunday Service this week is another installment of their Singled Out show, featuring interviews and performances with the members of local band 1 Oz. Jig.

There’s are a couple Sunday night rock shows in Fayetteville as well. New local band Bik Fliqqr (featuring members of Fauxnz and Perpetual Werewolf) and Los Angeles duo QUI will perform at Lightbulb Club.

George’s has Fayetteville rock band Amsterdam with Mississippi outfit, Framing the Red.
