Kid Rock coming to the AMP Sept. 25

He’s from Detroit. He’s a cowboy, baby. He’s Kid Rock, and he’s coming to the AMP this fall.

The venue announced today that the multi-platinum-selling recording artist will be in town for a show on Friday, Sept. 25.

Everyone knows who Kid Rock is, but in the interest of making this post a bit longer, Robert James Ritchie, a.k.a. Kid Rock first made a name for himself as a hip hop artist associated with the Insane Clown Posse in the early 90s.

He broke out with a rap/rock hybrid album in the late 90s called Devil Without a Causethat featured hits like Bawitdaba, Cowboy and Only God Knows Why. Since then, he’s been nominated for some Grammys. He’s sold 25 million albums. He’s played the Superbowl. He’s Kid Rock. You’ve heard of him.

Special guests Tim Montana & The Shrednecks are set to open the show.

Tickets range from $46-$101, and go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 29. To purchase tickets, visit the Walton Arts Center box office, call 479-443-5600, or visit amptickets.com.
