Phases of the Moon announces first lineup in Arkansas

Earlier this year we learned that the Harvest Festival will have a new name when it returns in 2015. We now know what the music lineup looks like.

Organizers of the event, which merged with (and took the name of) the Phases of the Moon Music + Art Festival, released the full lineup of bands scheduled to play this fall.

This year’s headliners include The Disco Biscuits, STS9 “Axe the Cables,” moe., Yonder Mountain String Band, Beats Antique, and more.

UPDATE: Officials later added Warren Haynes & The Ashes & Dust Band, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Birdcloud, Blaine Cartwright, and The Dropper.

The second annual three-day music and arts festival is set for Oct. 16-18 on Mulberry Mountain near Ozark, Arkansas.

Back for a second year will be the Lunar Landing Conspiracy. Last year the band joined The String Cheese Incident for an entire set of moon/space-themed songs accompanied by other Phases musicians and several performance artists.

According to organizers, this year’s event will include a rare STS9 set of “Axe The Cables,” and a host of performing artists including aerialists, fire spinners, hoopers, jugglers, and stilt walkers. Expect to find large interactive sculptures, installations, and live art from renowned national and local artists.

A kids camp, a farmers market, and a non-profit village are also planned, and as with any Mulberry Mountain event, folks can enjoy the usual amenities like hiking trails and disc golf.

Tickets are on sale now, and cost $164.45 for a three-day pass or $524.95 for a VIP pass. Camping or parking passes are also required. Payment plans are available.
