One of our favorite touring bands is coming back to Fayetteville this summer.

Mississippi’s Water Liars will perform at The Lightbulb Club on Friday, July 31 with local band Lo-Res.

The band has been in the studio for the past few weeks working on their fourth studio album, but will resume touring next month with a handful of shows beginning in mid-July.

Water Liars first began receiving attention in the press for their debut album, Phantom Limb, which saw praise from the likes of NPR, AV Club, Paste and Vice upon its release in 2012.

Since then, the band has released a solid album each year, including their latest self-titled effort from 2014.

They’ve also been pretty regular visitors to Fayetteville. Most recently, the band played a late-night set at George’s during the Fayetteville Roots Festival.

Ticket information hasn’t been released yet, but they’ll likely be sold at the door (and it’ll likely be packed).

Check out a couple videos below to get an idea of what to expect.
