AD: Ozark Escape live escape room experience opens in Fayetteville

Announcing Ozark Escape, a real life entertainment adventure that puts you against a clock in an attempt to escape a locked room. It’s the newest entertainment trend to hit the United States and the first to come to Fayetteville. The escape game concept is widely popular overseas and has recently made its way here.

Ozark Escape puts a small team of 2-10 people in a locked room and challenges them to escape in 60 minutes by finding clues, solving puzzles, and cracking codes. While the door to the room is locked, there is always an emergency exit that will open if anyone needs to leave.

Two long-time friends, Kim Stauss and Shannon Falter, and their families have come together to develop and open Ozark Escape.

“For years we’ve traveled together and our kids have grown up together,” said Stauss. “Recently we all played our first Escape Room and we were hooked. Because we’re from Fayetteville, we really knew how much this town needed other family-friendly entertainment options.”

The games are themed and geared towards families and friends as well as birthday parties or company team-building. Accommodations can be made for all ages (no younger than 8) or advanced sessions can be incorporated to help companies/groups see how they perform under stress in a fun and challenging environment.

According to the co-owners, they have worked with a company in Europe to develop two of their unique, exciting games. The third room was co-developed by a creative artist from Tulsa. The names of the three rooms are: In search of Dorian Gray, Binary: The World of Black and White, and Cold Case 1965.

“When we first played an escape room we couldn’t get out,” Falter said. “People often think it will be easy but it takes much more than just finding a few keys. You have to work together and lean upon each other’s strengths.”

Fayetteville’s first live escape room experience is located just off of Dickson at 509 W. Spring Street, Suite 140.

Escapes range from $55-110 per game (as low as $11 per person), and for the month of July, they’re offering an introductory 20% off discount when you use the promo code SAVE20 when booking.
