UA unveils new food options at Razorback Stadium

As major league ballparks seem to race toward the most absurd food options imaginable each year, more and more college stadiums are looking to move past a basic menu of hot dogs and nachos.

And while student fare isn’t as over-the-top as what’s found in the big leagues (see the Baltimore Ravens’ $18 Tailgater Burger), it’s no longer uncommon to find a chicken parmesan sandwich or a bacon-wrapped corn dog in an NCAA stadium.

The latest school to announce an increase in concession options is the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.

School officials this week unveiled a list of five new food items available at various concessions stand locations inside Razorback Stadium, beginning at this weekend’s season opener between Arkansas and UTEP.

At the top of the list is the Mac Attack Burger, a hamburger topped with macaroni and cheese. There’s also a quarter-pound hotdog covered in mac & cheese and crispy bacon.

Other items include a grilled ham and cheese sandwich, buffalo chicken nachos, and a pork tenderloin sandwich.

Officials also said this week patrons can pay with credit cards in the south end zone and club areas of the stadium.
