Washington County Fair runs through Saturday

Carnival fans, your favorite week of the year is here.

Of course, we’re talking about the 2015 Washington County Fair, now underway and running through Saturday, Sept. 5 on the fairgrounds at 2536 N. McConnell Ave. in Fayetteville.

Gates open each day at 10 a.m. Carnival rides start at 5 p.m. (noon on Saturday) and close at about 10 p.m. most evenings. Friday and Saturday nights, the carnival is open late until 2 a.m.

There’s also a bull riding event on Saturday night. The 2015 Bull Buck Out begins at 7:30 p.m., with “Mutton Bustin‘” at 6:30 p.m.

Cost for entry at the fair is $5 for adults. Children ages 6 and under get in free.
