Freak out, basil fanatics. The best day of the year (and your life) is coming up.

Of course, we’re taking about Pesto Fest, the 4th annual celebration of everyone’s favorite green sauce organized by Tri Cycle Farms.

This year’s event will be held at the farm (1705 N. Garland Ave.) in Fayetteville, and will include live music by Handmade Moments, Snake Girty Turncoat, and Warren Dietzel, as well as a petting zoo, art activities for kids, and local food from Greenhouse Grille, Cardamom & Curry, Wood Stone, Ozark Natural Foods, Lucky Luke’s, and other local restaurants. Local craft brews and cocktails will also be available.

The event will also feature a pesto contest, where anyone can enter their best pesto recipe for a chance to win best overall, most creative, and the people’s choice award for their creation.

Parking will be available across the street at Trinity United Methodist Church (1021 W. Sycamore St.).

Admission is $15, and pre-registration is recommended. The event will take place from 5-9 p.m.
