There are a lot of events listed below on this weekend’s calendar, but there’s really only one question to consider this weekend.

Do you want to Bikes, Blues & BBQ or not?

The annual motorcycle rally has pretty much taken over the Dickson Street area this weekend. The event features plenty of music, festival food, t-shirt vendors, and some of the best people watching you’ll find anywhere. Music-wise Friday night, charismatic performer Andy Frasco will close out the night on the Bikes, Blues & BBQ main stage on Dickson Street.

There’s a big show up the road at the AMP that will likely have a large biker presence, but is not necessarily part of the festival. Kid Rock is set to play a sold out show there Friday night. He’s a cowboy, baby.

In non Bikes, Blues & BBQ entertainment news, The Lightbulb Club has a show with Deerpeople and RD Mauzy, and locals Handmade Moments will perform at Fossil Cove.

Saturday, Sept. 26

Barrett Baber

This is one of the best times of the year for the Fayetteville Farmers’ Market, and Saturday morning is going to be absolutely beautiful on the Fayetteville square.

Headliners at Bikes, Blues & BBQ on Saturday include local songwriter Barrett Baber (who is getting famous right now), 80s hair metal cover band Hot Lix, and rockabilly wild man Jason D. Williams.

George’s has Mountain Sprout, Josh Hoyer, Gary Hutchison, and Steve Pryor performing all weekend during the rally, and that’s the case on Saturday as well.

Also on Saturday, Shawn James & The Shapeshifters will perform at Smoke & Barrel.

Up on the square, Fayetteville Underground will host their monthly Last Saturday variety show with The Vine Brothers, Paper Anthem, Jordan Haynes and Aisle 24. They’re also planning another installment of their “Word Wars” poetry/comedy/singing competition. Here’s more info.
