Tech firm Metova to open Fayetteville office, hire 30 people

Tech firm Metova Inc. said Tuesday its plans to open a Fayetteville office that will create 30 jobs.

The Tennessee-based mobile app company provides strategy, design, development and marketing for companies like Yelp, Dropbox, eHarmony, Flixster and the U.S. Department of Defense.

Metova opened a 60-person office in Conway earlier this year and soon after announced it would add another 100 employees. Officials said the Fayetteville office will help the company meet the demands of the rapidly growing mobile and digital media industry.

“Northwest Arkansas is an ideal location for our latest expansion, where there is a great pool of talent, higher education opportunities, and a thriving business environment,” said John Adams, CEO of Metova.

Adams said the Fayetteville office will primarily employ application programmers and developers.

“The fact that Metova is significantly expanding for the third time is a testament to the state’s growing reputation as a hub for tech companies,” said Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson. “Through increased STEM education and our new computer coding initiative, we are preparing a workforce that will be a great fit for Metova.”
