Mikky Ekko coming to UA Wednesday

Surprise! Songwriter and pop artist Mikky Ekko is coming to town this week.

The UA’s Headliners Concert Committee announced the show, booked as part of the university’s Homecoming festivities this week, via their Twitter account on Monday.

The artist, best known for his appearance alongside Rhianna on her 2013 hit Stay, will perform at the University of Arkansas Gardens on Wednesday. Ekko’s other claims to fame include a song in the closing credits on HBO’s True Blood, and a songwriting credit on We Remain, performed by Christina Aguilera on The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Soundtrack. He just released his debut album Time earlier this year.

According to a Tweet by the UA’s Office of Student Activities, Morgan’s Band will open the show.

The concert is free to attend. Doors open at 6 p.m., and music begins at 7 p.m.
