Lights of the Ozarks kicks off Friday night

Lights of the Ozarks kicks off Friday night with their annual lighting ceremony and parade on the Fayetteville square. It all starts at 6 p.m. Here’s some more info, including the parade route.

Want some comedy? There’s a comedy showcase event at Nomad’s Music Lounge in South Fayetteville as well. It’s hosted by local comedian Zac Slusher, and it starts at 7:30 p.m. Comedians include Hilton Price, Seth Dees, Troy Gittings, Chealsie Summers, and Martin Callen.

If you’re in the mood for Shakeaspeare, the UA drama department is performing The Bard’s Twelfth Night at University Theatre all weekend as well. Friday’s show starts at 7:30 p.m.

It’s the second-to-last Razorback Game weekend in Fayetteville this weekend. The Hogs take on Mississippi State at 6 p.m. at Razorback Stadium.

There’s plenty of music in town as well. There’s a metal show at The Lightbulb CLub with Iron Isis and Mudlung.

George’s has red dirt bands Jason Boland and the Stragglers and Shane Smith & The Saints.

Hot Shot Karate has reunited for a show with Basement Brew at Smoke & Barrel Saturday night as part of guitarist Caleb Rose’s going away party.

At Backspace, there’s a rock show with locals Peace of the Sea, along with Bastards of Suspence and The Uh Huh’s.
