Alabama brewery creates Bret Bielema tribute mural for Ole Miss win

When Arkansas defeated Ole Miss in a 53-52 overtime thriller back in November, Bret Bielema and the Hogs effectively helped to punch Alabama’s ticket to the SEC Championship game, and ultimately, paved the way for their selection into this year’s college football playoff.

Now, a brewery in Tuscaloosa has unveiled a tribute to Bielema for his early Christmas gift of eliminating Ole Miss from SEC championship contention.

Tuscaloosa artist Rich Marck created a chalk mural behind the bar at Druid City Brewing titled “Father Bretmas,” (or “Father Bertmas,” we’ve heard both today) depicting Bielema as Santa Claus drinking a beer in front of a stadium scoreboard with the Arkansas/Ole Miss final score in the background.

Before the Hogs beat Ole Miss, the Rebels had the inside track to the SEC Championship after they handed Alabama their lone loss of the season earlier in the year. Arkansas was the only other SEC team to beat the Rebels this season.

Nicely played, Rich (and Druid City Brewing).

Here’s hoping Bielema can give his own Hogs the gift of an SEC championship next season.
