Walton Arts Center officials this week announced that Brian Crowne has been named Vice President of the Walmart AMP.

Crowne, who also owns George’s Majestic Lounge, sold the AMP to the arts center in February 2011. He has served as general manager of the AMP since 2014.

Crowne will continue to be responsible for all operations of the AMP including artist booking, third party rentals, site operations and management, according to a news release. He will also serve on the Executive Committee of the arts center.

From the release:

Walmart AMP has seen unprecedented growth under his leadership with attendance growing from under 20,000 patrons in 2011 to a record 147,000 patrons in 2015. As a premier destination for arts and entertainment, Walmart AMP has hosted America’s biggest stars including Willie Nelson, Allison Kraus, Santana, and sold-out shows of Blake Shelton, Tim McGraw, Dave Matthews Band and Kenny Chesney.

Officials have so far announced three concerts for the upcoming 2016 season, including Ellie Goulding (May 20), Journey and The Doobie Brothers (May 31), and Twenty One Pilots (Aug. 3).
