Ira Glass / Courtesy

On Saturday, Backroad Anthem will perform a sold-out show at George’s as a tribute to their lead singer Craig Strickland, who passed away recently after his boat capsized on a hunting trip. Barrett Baber and some other local musicians are expected to join them on stage at the show.

Also Saturday night, radio personality Ira Glass will appear at the Walton Arts Center to talk about all he’s learned (and mastered) over his 37 years at NPR’s network headquarters. Here’s more info.
