Landscapers, this is your time to shine.

The City of Fayetteville’s Urban Forestry Advisory Board this week announced a friendly competition for the best food-producing sustainable landscapes in Fayetteville.

The board will give awards for best residential, best restaurant, and best commercial/civic food-producing landscape, and the winners will receive a sign recognizing their winning landscape, a certificate, and a “winner’s sundial.”

The deadline to enter the competition is Friday, May 27. Applications will be restricted to addresses within the Fayetteville city limits.

The judging will take place from June 20-26, and the winners will be announced and notified on July 11. A public tour of the winning gardens is scheduled for July 16.

A bit more information on the award categories is below. For more, visit the Urban Forestry Page on the city’s website.
