Firefly Fling to include fireworks show in Fayetteville

Those in attendance at the Firefly Fling should expect a brief fireworks show at the end of the night.

Organizers of this year’s event were recently approved for a fireworks permit and a noise variance from approximately 9:55-10 p.m. on Saturday, July 16.

The party begins at 6 p.m. at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks in east Fayetteville, and includes live music along with a ton of fun for kids.

Scheduled activities include face painting, fairy house building, a photo booth, an obstacle course, giant bubbles, nature stations, crafts, a maze, and more. After dark, expect glow-in-the-dark performances, fire dancing from Violetta Lotus Fireflies, and the fireworks finale.

Live entertainment is provided by Papa Rap, Shaky Bugs, and the Firefly Fling Faire band.

Guests may bring blankets and picnics, but food vendors will be set up around the garden grounds selling items from Mellow Mushroom (pizza), The Green Goat (Cuban food truck), Fricken Chicken (fried chicken), Pedal Pops (gourmet popsicles), Yarnell’s (ice cream), and Tropical Smoothie.

The Firefly Shoppe will have wings, glow sticks, and other festival items for sale.

Advance tickets are $8 for adults, and $4 for children ages 3-13, and free for kids under 3 years. To purchase tickets, visit bgozarks.com.

Tickets will also be available at the door. Prices Saturday night are $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 3-13, and free for kids under 3 years.
